Anton Bruehl
President
Mr. Anton Bruehl founded San Francisco-based International Development Group (IDG) in 1984. For the past 24 years, Mr. Bruehl has provided his business expertise and vision to many of the largest and best known companies in the multimedia industry.

While Mr. Bruehl was President of Atari International from 1980 to 1984, Atari‘s annual revenues increased from $8 million to over $400 million in less than three years. Mr. Bruehl established Atari subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Benelux and Italy, developed export programs to 28 countries and established a manufacturing venture in Brazil with a leading consumer electronics company.

Under the direction of Mr. Bruehl, IDG was appointed as the exclusive international consultant for Tokyo-based Sega Enterprises from 1986 to 1991, during which time Sega generated more than $1.5 billion in revenues in Europe and Australia.

Since 1991, Mr. Bruehl and the IDG team have worked on numerous consulting projects, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property distribution agreements and recruiting assignments.


Yoshio Osaki
Vice President
Before joining IDG, Yoshio's prior experience included management consulting for Fortune 500 clients in the technology sector at Accenture and covering the Internet industry as an equity research analyst at Piper Jaffray. Following those two roles, he was an analyst at a top West Coast hedge fund focusing on the video game and Internet sectors in the U.S. and Asia.

Bringing his finance and consulting skill sets to IDG, coupled with a resume that is global in scope, Yoshio currently helps to manage both the syndicated publishing and consulting businesses for IDG. He serves as the primary project manager for consulting engagements, and also functions as a lead analyst for the subscription business.

Yoshio graduated from Stanford University, where he earned a B.A. in International Relations, and also fulfilled the requirements for a bachelor's degree in Political Science.


Emilie Avera
Senior Analyst
Emilie is a key member of IDG’s research team. Over the past three years, Emilie has been an important contributor to IDG’s syndicated publications, including IDG’s quarterly and yearly reports, as well as for custom research projects. Her main areas of expertise include title forecasting, historical platform analysis, and deep-dive genre analysis. From a client relationship standpoint, Emilie acts as one of the primary liaisons and principals for the firm in regards to its European client operations.

Prior to joining IDG, Emilie was a Curator for a renowned San Francisco Gallery. Her propensity for visual representation has been instrumental in building IDG’s quantitative research charting capabilities.

Emilie obtained her baccalaureate in France and later graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Design.


Christina Kei
Market Analyst
Christina joined the IDG research team after serving two years on Wall Street as an equity trader administering exclusively to hedge funds and other institutional clientele. At IDG, she provides analytical support in both the syndicated publishing and the consulting areas of the business.

Christina graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature. During her studies, she also spent a year abroad studying Japanese literature in Tokyo and speaks Japanese conversationally.


Anish Shah
Market Analyst
Anish is the newest member to the IDG research team. After working at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Actuarial Consultant for employee health benefits for over two years, Anish is now leveraging his client serving and technical skills at IDG to aid in the research and consulting efforts.

Anish holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.


Luis Sandi Castillo
General Manager: Latin America
Luis is responsible for managing IDG's Latin American distribution initiatives. Luis joined IDG from Microsoft Latin America where he was the Director of the Consumer Division. As part of this role Luis managed all consumer products (Xbox, PC Games, Windows and Office at retail) as well as the marketing, sales and operations teams. Having been involved in several wide reaching initiatives, Luis was instrumental in launching the Xbox in several Latin American geographies where he was responsible for overseeing successful team recruitment, distribution partner set-up, retailer negotiations, marketing and PR plans. Prior to Microsoft Latin America, Luis served as the Director of the Consumer Division in Microsoft Mexico. Previously, Luis served as Commercial Director at Vica S.A. de C.V. where he managed the manufacturing division as well as the launch of several key product lines in addition to managing commercial partnership development with Microsoft, Acer, Comercial, and the America Insurance Company. Luis attended Universidad Intercontinental and Universidad Panamericana where he undertook Business Administration and Industrial Engineering Studies respectively.



Luis Pazos
General Manager: Latin America
Mr. Luis Pazos is the IDG partner responsible for the South American region, with a special focus on Brazil. His diverse assignments across Latin America in the last 10 years have provided him very strong expertise on regional business. Previous to IDG, Mr. Pazos joined Gamexpress in 2007 as Director for Latin America, where he was responsible for starting up this company’s activities in the South Cone. Prior to that, he worked at Microsoft as Senior Marketing Manager for Latin America, responsible for the Xbox brand across the region where he was in charge of developing business cases and executing launches of Xbox 360 in Colombia, Chile, and Brazil. Mr. Pazos started his career at Procter & Gamble´s Marketing division were he participated in the Brazilian launch of Ariel, the company’s most important brand in LATAM. After 4 years of managing P&G´s most important brands, Mr. Pazos accepted a position as Senior Marketing Manager for AOL México, where he was responsible for managing a US$40 million marketing budget, developing advertising, overseeing market research and PR activities. Mr. Pazos majored in Economics at ITAM, Mexico´s most respected college for Economic Sciences.



Diego Basave
Product Manager: Latin America
Diego Basave has a degree in Communications from the Universidad Iberoamericana. After graduating, he joined a large media conglomerate, learning the TV and Print Media business production. He worked in marketing and media planning for more than 3 years, and which lead to his marketing videogames in Latin America for the IDG Consulting Group. As product manager of IDG, Diego specializes in consulting affairs for the Latin American video game market. Based in Mexico City, his role at IDG includes marketing, media knowledge, public relations, consulting, and costumer service to IDG's publishers .
